On November 4, 1952, six women with vision and fortitude brought the ideals of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated to Jackson State University. We salute our CHARTER MEMBERS Vera Anderson, Penny Ruth Williams Dickey, Lelia Lewis Dukes, Helen Adams Hill, Hattie McGowan and Beatrice Kyles Moore for their leadership in making Delta Pi Chapter the 88th Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
The first advisors of Delta Pi Chapter were Marcelle Rodriguez, Willie Dobbs Blackburn, and Dr. Rose McCoy. We applaud them for their wisdom in laying the foundation for Delta Pi.
